The project is thought as a threshold between the street and the park. From the street, the pavilion has the presence of a lightweight building with a golden roof. From the park it is perceived as a massive structure, a contemporary ruin. The place where these two sides are experienced as a spatial unity is the interior of the restaurant. The interior is dark and faces outward through a pitched roof on one side and a canopy on the other. The concrete slab surrounds the entire pavilion and unites the two outdoor spaces.
